Click on the <f> drop down menu and select IEC 118 Measurement. |
Click <go> or press the Enter key to start the actual measurement.

The measurement begins and consecutively records the necessary curves. After the second measurement, the ACAM System stops and displays the following windows.
IEC 118 Measurement Windows:
Figure 78: Measurement of the HFA |
The average level (HFA) is caluclated by continuously presenting the frequencies 1000, 1600, and 2500 Hz. A message is displayed if the hearing aid volume should be increased or decreased. Note: At maximum volume, the ACAM System will still request an increase in volume. In this scenario, keep the volume control at the maximum. Click <OK and forward> to continue with the remaining measurements. |
Figure 79: HFA Detected |
Figure 79 appears when the necessary level is reached (i.e. within the range of ± 1.5 dB). Click <OK and forward> to continue with the remaining measurements. |
Figure 80: IEC Measurement |
Figure 80 shows the results of the measurments described above. |
Figure 81: Curve info window |
Open the Curve Info window for input level=60 dB by clicking the left mouse key to show the following information about the curve in addition to standard information.
Compare curve data to the manufacturer’s specification sheets. If the data does not match, assume a defect in the hearing aid. *Possible to select a different setup in the setup options. |
