Speech Audiometry - Introduction
Vorheriges Thema  Nächstes Thema

The ACAM System speech audiometry contains all measuring procedures necessary for determining the hearing sensitivity prior to a hearing aid fitting. The operation is performed using a mouse and/or keyboard. Prior to a starting a measurement, determine the measuring signals for the test ear and the non-test ear. All settings available for audiometry can be changed using the <set> button.

The screen of the speech audiometry is divided into four important components.

  1. The menu located at the top of the screen is explained in more detail in the section: “General information to the speech audiometry.”
  2. The measurement procedure selections are located in the lower right part of the speech audiogram.
  3. The tone audiograms are located below the speech audiogram.
  4. Information about the operation of the speech audiometry is available in the help texts.

During a measurement, the word currently played is displayed to the right of the tone audiograms (Figure 130).
