Starting ACAM:

The ACAM System can be started either in NOAH or directly as a stand-alone program.

Starting the ACAM System in NOAH, will provide the current measuring data of the selected client.

Starting the ACAM System as a stand-alone program, will show the data from the last session.

Please refer to: "Restore ACAM Data."

Starting in Stand-Alone Mode:

  1. Click the PC Start button.
  2. Click the All Programs option, click ACAM, and select the program file ACAM 5 (Figure 6).
  3. The ACAM System starts with the data and settings from the last session. The data collected will be saved in the temporary ACAM System directory, even after a computer re-start. Delete the data from the ACAM System (administration tab) that does not need to be saved.

Closing ACAM (Figures 8 and 9):

The ACAM System software can only be closed when the <go> button is disabled. As long as the <go> button is enabled the ACAM System is in the measuring mode and cannot be closed; an attempt to close the ACAM System software will be ignored.

There are three ways to close the ACAM System software:

  1. Click on the ACOUSTICON icon in the upper left corner of the ACAM System software window. A selection menu will open. Choose the item close.
  2. Alt + F4 may be selected as a close option.
  3. Click on the "X" in the upper right corner in the ACAM window.

  2. In general, all curves which are available in the ACAM System memory are set to "save."
  3. Deselect the curves you do not want to save by clicking on the corresponding title or click on the corresponding box. These items will not be saved.
  4. Click on <exit and save ACAM>. A session record will be generated in NOAH for this data.
  5. Click on <exit ACAM without saving>. The ACAM System will be closed and nothing will be saved into NOAH.
  6. Click on <Abort [back to ACAM]> to return to the previous screen.

When the files are too large, they cannot be saved in NOAH. For example, the measurements "sound design" and "long-term test" files are too large to be saved. To retrieve these data files at a later time, the data can be exported using the administration tab.

Comments for working in NOAH:

Within NOAH, a series of sessions will accumulate under each client's record (Figure 11). When you select a client, ACAM will automatically open the last record in the session list. You can double click on any of the listed session dates, if you do not want to automatically open the most recently saved record.

If the selected record is not the most recently saved, a pop-up message will appear to state (Figure 12): "The latest data was not loaded."
