Fitting Tab (Figure 152):

• The hearing instrument Fitting tab documents the work of the audiologist during and after the hearing aid fitting.
• The Fitting tab has three sub-tabs: Fitting, SNR, and ANL (Figure 152).
• Within the Fitting sub-tab, there are five additional sub- tabs that correspond to the procedures of the recommended hearing aid fitting. The five fitting sub-tabs are: Without hearing aid, Comparing measurement, Fitting measurement, Miscellaneous, and Analysis.
• It is recommended that the fitting be performed in the order of the sub tabs. Yet, the fitting can be performed in any order. If performed out of order, the fitting report and/or special documentation forms in the ACAM System may not be correctly documented.

Fitting: Fitting tab

• Within the Fitting tab, the Fitting sub-tab displays the number of loudspeakers connected to the ACAM System as buttons on the screen. For example if there are 8 loudspeakers connected to your ACAM System, 8 loudspeaker buttons will appear on the screen.
• Each <loudspeaker> button has a clock symbol and degrees value displayed. The degree value indicates the position of the loudspeaker related to the patient position. For example 0° = front, 180° = rear, and 90° = left.
• When the <loudspeaker> button is pressed, it indicates that the loudspeaker is on.

• Each <loudspeaker> button provides four different sound event options for each loudspeaker.
• The four sound events can be adjusted in the setup menu of the hearing instrument fitting tab (Figure 154). The four sound events can be identified as: speechtest, noise source 1, noise source 2, and babble of voices. 
• The different levels of the loudspeaker can be selected.
• The selected settings for each loudspeaker and the selected levels are saved under the chosen procedure tab. For further information please refer to the chapter: "Control operation and fitting."

Click the <go> button to start the playback of the selected signal. The CD playback can be switched on with this function as well.

Fitting: Comparing Measurement Sub-Tab

• The comparing measurement sub tab makes comparisons between one hearing aid to another.
• This sub tab has a number of <memory> buttons which can be used to describe individual hearing aid settings. Each change in the hearing aid loudness level is assigned to a corresponding <memory>.
• Figure _ shows that <Memory #1> is selected and provides an example of the corresponding hearing aids' settings. Clicking on <Memory #2> would reveal different settings of the hearing aid.

Help Menu in the Fitting Tab (Figure 156):

• Throughout the Fitting tab a help menu can be accessed by right clicking on <first measurement>.
• The Help menu lists the following options: Memory # Delete, Delete all memories, Delete complete fitting process, Memory # on memory # copy, Preset these settings for the fitting process, or Change nothing.

Background Information to the ACAM System Audiometer:

The ACAM System also includes a four channel audiometer. It allows for the presentation of four different signals through the loudspeakers.

Additionally, the ACAM System includes two different noise generators, which create independent non coherent noise signals. These settings allows the ACAM System to fulfill the standard IEC 8255 Part 3.
