This can have a couple of sources. It's maybe just an software-setting, or a soundcard configuration mistake. The configuration and the setting for CD playback is described in chapter: Playback from CD.

Windows can administrate several soundcards, ACAM can handle 2 soundcards. Over the soundcard, that is registered in the control panel of windows, all standard outputs and also sounds from the CD-Drive are played. If ACAM is not connected to this sound card, it's not possible to play audio CD's via the ACAM device. Please contact us, if you have more than two soundcards implemented in your system. We can then discuss all the possibilities. If you use USB-soundcards in your computer, it may happen that the configuration of the soundcard changes, when you connect the sound card with another USB-port. In this case ACAM may work erroneously. |
When an error occurs during the starting procedure of ACAM, the software deactivates the soundcard and turns off the sound output. If the first soundcard is not detectable following message will appear:
|
ACAM wird dann im DEMO Modus ausgeführt. Messungen sind dann generell nicht mehr möglich. |

Please pick the soundcard that ACAM should use for sound outputs and click 'Save changes' Start the ACAM software and play a sound to check if everything works correctly. |
