Real Ear - RECD
Vorheriges Thema  Nächstes Thema

This section discusses the application of RECD in the different measurements in the ACAM System.

The RECD measurement is used to simulate a real ear measurement. The <rem> button must be enabled in the ACAM System in order to see the <recd> button. For the recording of RECD, please refer to the section: “miscellaneous/simulation/RECD.”

There are two possibilities available for calculating RECD:

  1. A direct measurement using the <recd> button
  2. An indirect measurement by converting from test box and/or real ear curves, which is found in the curve info window.

The RECD button knows 3 different conditions:

Figure 116: RECD button disabled

  • The <recd> button is disabled (Figure 104).
  • RECD cannot be enabled and no measurement can be transferred to the test box.
  • It is necessary to first perform a RECD measurement.

Figure 117: RECD button enabled, but not selected

  • The <recd> button can be clicked if it is enabled (Figure 117).
  • If a measurement started, it is a real ear measurement.
  • The data is not yet transferred to the test box.

Figure 118: RECD button enabled and selected

  • Click the <recd> button to enable the measurement (Figure 118).
  • The measure can be performed in the text box, but not real ear.
  • However, the results are displayed in the real ear screen.

Additional Notes:

Figure 119: Curve info for test box

The Figure 119 shows the curve information in the test box.

Click <Convert into in situ curve> to create a new curve seen in the real ear curves.

Figure 120: Curve info for real ear

Figure 120 shows the curve information in real ear.

Click <Convert into test box curve> to calculate the curve as a test box curve (using the RECD data). This curve will be displayed in the test box (<HIT> button).
