ACAM cannot establish a connection to the control unit:

ACAM starts after a network-timeout with disabled measurement functions.

This message typically appears when the IP-adress of the ACAM system was entered incorrect, or the network adress is already in use by another computer/device. You can find further informations in the chapter: Netzwerkverbindung zum ACAM and ACAM does not start.

Could not establish data transfer to ACAM:

The network connection to the ACAM device could be established but the request of the computer was not answered by the ACAM system.

According to our experiences this error is very rare and can mostly be fixed by simply restarting the ACAM device.

Turn off the power supply and wait for one minute until your turn it on again. If the message still appears there may be a malfunction in the hardware.

Error in the ACAM license data:

The license data on your computer does not apply to the connected hardware unit.

Please reset the Lizenzberechtigungen.

No valid software version:

The software version saved in the system does not apply to the version you just started.

This happens if the program was not installed with the installation routine. See also Sound wiedergegeben.

Another cause may be an old version of DirectX (version 7.0 or older). An installation of DirectX can be found within the installation of ACAM (DirectX Version 9c in the directory Extra\MS_Directx_9c)

The DirectX system could not be initialised:

Please check the sound card settings. Maybe the sound card ACAM is using was removed or has changed (e.g. another driver).

The application (ACAM5.exe) could not be initialised:

The program could not be registered in Windows.

This message appears when the ACAM software or the operating system was not properly installed.

Please try again - Restart the computer if necessary.

Error when initialising the sound card, or no sound card was found:

The sound card settings are wrong, the selected sound card in the ACAM_Cal program can not be initialised or no sound card is installed on the computer.

Please check the sound card settings. Maybe the sound card ACAMis using was removed or has changed  (e.g. another driver). See also: Es wird kein Sound wiedergegeben.

The TCP-IP connection has been closed:

This message appears when the connection to the control unit has been lost during the work with the system.

This error must not occur during working with the ACAM system.

The network cable may be disconnected or damaged or the network adapter has an error.

The malfunction should be eliminated immediately!

Overloading of generators was noticed:

During the work with ACAM the system noticed that the signal levels that were produced in the control unit were too high. To avoid possible instabilities of the hardware due to the  overloading, all measurement functions were deactivated.

Please restart the system. If the message still appears please contact our Support-Hotline to check the calibration and system settings.

Wrong response of ACAM:

The control unit sent datas that were corrupted or incomplete.

For error diagnosis the status register of ACAM is analyzed and displayed.

This error message may appear if the operating system stops the delivery of single packages during the sending process or if the packages reach the OS in a wrong order.

This may happen if the computer has no free hardware ressources (CPU or memory), because it is busy.

Error while transferring data in EXCEL or Word:

The data transferred over the designated port (COM interface) were not received / incompletely received.

This message may appear if no or an old version of MS Excel or Word is installed.

The installed IPC Version is not the one needed:

The internal program version of ACAM is wrong and does not match to the current version of the Software.

Please start the repair-program IPC_Update.exe in the ACAM folder.

If the message still appears please reinstall the ACAM software

The firmware update of ACAM failed after the third try:

ACAM tried to load the latest firmware but failed.

Please restart the hardware unit and try again. (Please wait one minute before turning on the system again)

If this message still appears ther may be an malfunction in the ACAM hardware.
